Blas Y Preseli – BRYNBERIAN

Cynhaliwyd y 4ydd ac olaf o weithdai Blas y Preseli yng Nghanolfan Llwynihirion Brynberian ddydd Sadwrn diwethaf y 7fed o Fawrth. Cawsom i gyd amser wrth ein bodd yn pobi ac yn rhannu atgofion melys o fwyd a thraddodiadau lleol. Diolch yn fawr i bawb sydd wedi cymryd rhan yn y gweithdai hyn, a diolch yn fawr i Luke Conlon am gyflwyno’r sesiynau hyn, gyda chymorth Debbie Donnelly.

The 4th and final Taste your Heritage workshop was held in Canolfan Llwynihirion Brynberian last Saturday the 7th of March. We all had a fantastic few hours baking & sharing fond memories of food and local traditions. A big thank to everybody that has taken part in these workshops, and a big thank you to Luke Conlon for delivering these sessions, with help from Debbie Donnelly.

Welsh Museums Conference – Bangor – Cynhadledd Amueddfeydd Cymru

Stuart Berry & Sophie Jenkins travelled to Bangor and  presented at the Welsh Museums Federation Conference last week to a national audience on the work of the Preseli Heartlands Project. A huge thanks for the warm welcome and reception in, and thanks to Storiel for hosting us.

Teithiodd Stuart Berry a Sophie Jenkins i Fangor a chyflwyno yng Nghynhadledd Ffederasiwn Amgueddfeydd Cymru yr wythnos diwethaf i gynulleidfa genedlaethol ar waith Prosiect Cymdogaeth Werin Preseli. Diolch enfawr am y croeso cynnes, a diolch i Storiel am ein croesawu.

Blas y Preseli – HERMON

Cyflwynwyd gweithdy cyntaf gwych yng Nghanolfan Hermon dan arweiniad Luke Conlon ar dreftadaeth fwyd rhanbarth Preseli ddydd Sadwrn diwethaf y 15fed o Chwefror. Gwnaeth y grŵp dorth draddodiadol o fara – “Bara Crai” a Buns neu Miogod Sir Benfro. Fe wnaethant wylio ffilmiau a gwrando ar glipiau fideo gan Casgliad y Werin; pob un wrth rannu atgofion eu hunain am fwyd a thraddodiadau teuluol. I gloi’r diwrnod, rhannodd y grŵp bowlen dwym o gawl a rhoi cynnig ar dafell o’u Bara Crai wedi’i bobi’n ffres! Ni allwn aros i ymweld â Dinas yr wythnos nesaf i samplo mwy o’r un peth…

A fantastic first workshop at Canolfan Hermon led by Luke Conlon on the food heritage of the Preseli region was delivered last Saturday the 15th of February. The group made a traditional loaf of bread – “Bara Crai” and some Pembrokeshire Buns. They watched films and listened to video clips from People’s Collection Wales; all whilst sharing memories of their own about food and family traditions. To end the day, the group shared a warming bowl of cawl and tried a slice of their freshly baked Bara Crai! We can’t wait to visit Dinas next week for more of the same…

Digitising Workshop – Gweithdy Digido

A big thank you to Gruffydd Jones of People’s Collection Wales who recently joined us at PLANED for a Digitising Workshop. The group in attendance learnt all about how to submit and archive material on the People’s Collection website – including training on uploading, using relevant tags, permissions, equipment and so on. To visit the website and for more information see www.peoplescollection.wales

Diolch yn fawr i Gruffydd Jones o Gasgliad Y Werin Cymru a ymunodd â ni yn ddiweddar yn PLANED am Weithdy Digido. Dysgodd y grŵp a oedd yn bresennol sut i gyflwyno ac archifo deunydd ar wefan Casgliad y Werin – gan gynnwys hyfforddiant ar lanlwytho, defnyddio tagiau perthnasol, caniatadau, offer ac ati. I ymweld â’r wefan ac am fwy o wybodaeth gweler www.peoplescollection.wales
