Blas y Preseli – HERMON

 

Cyflwynwyd gweithdy cyntaf gwych yng Nghanolfan Hermon dan arweiniad Luke Conlon ar dreftadaeth fwyd rhanbarth Preseli ddydd Sadwrn diwethaf y 15fed o Chwefror. Gwnaeth y grŵp dorth draddodiadol o fara – “Bara Crai” a Buns neu Miogod Sir Benfro. Fe wnaethant wylio ffilmiau a gwrando ar glipiau fideo gan Casgliad y Werin; pob un wrth rannu atgofion eu hunain am fwyd a thraddodiadau teuluol. I gloi’r diwrnod, rhannodd y grŵp bowlen dwym o gawl a rhoi cynnig ar dafell o’u Bara Crai wedi’i bobi’n ffres! Ni allwn aros i ymweld â Dinas yr wythnos nesaf i samplo mwy o’r un peth…

A fantastic first workshop at Canolfan Hermon led by Luke Conlon on the food heritage of the Preseli region was delivered last Saturday the 15th of February. The group made a traditional loaf of bread – “Bara Crai” and some Pembrokeshire Buns. They watched films and listened to video clips from People’s Collection Wales; all whilst sharing memories of their own about food and family traditions. To end the day, the group shared a warming bowl of cawl and tried a slice of their freshly baked Bara Crai! We can’t wait to visit Dinas next week for more of the same…
